RADIANCE LOG

September 13th - 21st, 1998

This is a running log of radiance values over Cerro Azul, and drammatically shows how the thermal flux increased on the 15th. Note that in the Galapagos Islands, the solar heating produces the spikes seen on the 13th and 14th. Random noise (as on the 13th) can also produce single data spikes. Cloud cover has been reducing the energy levels over the volcano since September 19th.
